Getting Baked

Last week our oven quit working. It’s not that I’m surprised, because I’m not. It’s an old stove and it came with the house, so we can’t really complain. But why did it have to quit during the holidays?!?! Just when we start to cross a few items off of our vast “gifts to buy” list, a huge expense comes up! So, friends and family might just be getting a little less this year and we found a *relatively* affordable new stove. We didn’t even want a stainless steel one, but that’s how it comes. So now we wait for her to arrive! I have to admit, it’s driving me a bit nuts. I wait all year for the holidays because I love to bake. I love the smells and the way the whole kitchen gets warm on a cold day (we have a gas stove/oven). I can’t wait! Here she is in all her beauty-
